BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast augmentation is typically the most popular surgery amongst plastic surgeons in Scottsdale. Dr. LaBarbera helps women with naturally small breasts achieve a fuller and more pleasing breast appearance. During your first visit to LaBarbera Plastic Surgery, Dr. LaBarbera will take you through the various implant choices (saline, silicone, and gummy gear) and help you choose the most beneficial for your body type.
BREAST LIFT
Dr. LaBarbera performs the breast lift, or a mastopexy, to help women ‘lift’ sagging boobs. Because it helps women achieve youthful, beautiful and outstanding breast contour, this is one of the most popular procedures and typically included in the mommy makeover as well. Your breast lift plastic surgeon located in Phoenix, Gilbert, and Mesa – Dr. LaBarbera – will carefully listen to your concerns and come up with an individualized plan based on your body type and desired goals.
BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH LIFT
A breast augmentation with lift combines two of the most popular breast enhancement procedures to reshape, add volume, and lift the breasts. This combination surgery is very common with women whose breasts appear deflated or saggy due to pregnancy, aging, weight fluctuations, or genetics. Many women seek this procedure because it provides them with the best results. Breast augmentation with lift is an outpatient procedure that is carried out at Dr. LaBarbera’s offices under general anesthesia. Most patients are able to recover in 8-10 weeks.
ASYMMETRY CORRECTION
Women may have asymmetrical breasts that are disproportionate. This can be fixed with a variety of methods such as fat grafting, lifting a breast, or inserting an implant.
BREAST IMPLANT REMOVAL
Women may choose to remove or replace breast implants from a prior augmentation surgery due to medical or cosmetic reasons. The patient may have experienced an unforeseen issue with implants such as capsular contracture or rupture, or they may wish to alter the size or shape of their breasts for aesthetic reasons. In most cases, Dr. Jude LaBarbera performs the removal procedure on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The recovery duration is typically 1-4 weeks.
BREAST REDUCTION
For women who have excessively large breasts, breast reduction is the perfect operation to relieve discomfort, improve lifestyle, and enhance appearance. Dr. Jude LaBarbera employs the latest surgical techniques to achieve the best breast mound reshape and lift with the breast reduction. This procedure can be performed on all women whose breasts are fully developed.
BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
Breast reconstruction surgery helps women who have undergone a lumpectomy or mastectomy (to treat cancer) feel and look beautiful again. This procedure may be performed at the same time as the mastectomy, or at later date. During the surgery, you’ll be placed under general anesthesia (induced sleep). Patients may need to stay at the hospital for up to 5 days per procedure for monitoring. The procedure duration and surgery time will vary depending on the extent of the reconstruction.
BREAST REVISION
Women who are dissatisfied with the results of a prior breast augmentation can have revision surgery to meet their desired goals. Many patients who have this procedure at the LaBarbera Plastic Surgery are women who are displeased with the cosmetic results of a breast augmentation job, or that experience persistent pain due to prior surgery. Dr. Jude LaBarbera works carefully with each patient to meet the desired outcome hopefully once and for all. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes 2-4 hours to complete. In many cases, patients are sent home on the same day to continue with recovery. The majority of Dr. LaBarbera’s breast revision patients are back up within a week.
GYNECOMASTIA
Gynecomastia is the benign enlargement of breast tissue in men. This condition may be caused by genetics, a certain disease, metabolic disorders, or a natural decrease in testosterone production. It may also be a side effect of medication. In about 25% of gynecomastia cases, the underlying cause is unknown. Dr. Jude LaBarbera performs gynecomastia surgery to help his male patients achieve a firmer, more masculine chest. Gynecomastia surgery is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia. The procedure takes 1-2 hours to complete, and most patients are back to work within 2 weeks.
