Phoenix Zoo is the largest privately-owned nonprofit zoo in the US. Today, it is home to more than 1,400 animals and is also popular for recreational activities which include fishing in seven acres of stocked lagoons and golfing at Papago Golf Course.

Phoenix Zoo is home to Sumatran tigers, giraffes, and many other animals that roam in the grasslands of the savanna. You could have a close encounter with the giraffes and even get an opportunity to feed them. Visitors here can also discover the local fauna, flora, and critters of the Sonoran Desert located on the Zoo’s Arizona Trail. Phoenix Zoo is located 3 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and about 20 minutes drive from Dr. LaBarbera’s Phoenix office.
